Earlier this evening I was produce shopping alongside Douglas Wilder at Kroger. (!) He was the first African American to be elected governor in the U.S. and the second to serve. Most recently mayor of Richmond. I made green curry for dinner, I wonder what he was preparing...or if it was just an early Thanksgiving "connecting with the people" effort.
